He has also served as a Member in the Stakeholder Selection Committee of the United Nations General Assembly's Nelson Mandela Peace Summit.
He champions sustainable development and has been a speaker and lecturer in various prestigious forums including Harvard University, Columbia University, Central European University etc. He serves on various advisory boards including as a Mentor and Career Advisor at International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School and as a Senior Advisor at the Hay Institute, Washington DC.
Arpit Chaturvedi is a Public Policy and International Relations Professional. He is the CEO and Co-Founder of Global Policy Insights, a centrist think-tank. He is also the Co-Founder of EnviPol, an environmental consultancy firm based out of New Delhi.
He is the Founder of Insights International and also the Joint-Director of the Global Policy, Diplomacy, and Sustainability Fellowship and serves as a Co-Chair on various international affairs forums such as the QUAD Security Forum. He also serves as an Advisor at the Kyiv School of Diplomatic Arts.
He holds an MBA and MPA and has taught at various prestigious institutions across the world such as San Francisco State University. Arpit has advised policymakers, NGOs, and businesses and combined history, systems thinking, macro-economics, and game theory to author high-quality research material for policymakers across the globe.
Mr. Ankit Srivastava serves as the Co-Founder and CEO, ClimaJo, a climate change and sustainability start-up to promote sustainable actions and empower global businesses to explore sustainable alternatives and source sustainably from Indian suppliers. Ms Parul Agarwala is an urban development practitioner with experience in strategic policy analysis, land use and spatial planning, housing and economic development.
She has worked in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Palestine, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and the United States.
During her tenure with UN-Habitat, she has worked on promoting the New Urban Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals into the national policy frameworks on urban development, housing and informal settlements in the South Asia Region. Her major contribution to the evidence-based policy propositions and knowledge products, including, “Urban National Priority Programme” and “Future of Afghan Cities,” a urban atlas of all strategic urban centers in the country using pioneering population and land-use data and through new concepts and innovative ideas, have shaped the urban ministry’s agenda in Afghanistan. She has been instrumental in fostering local livelihoods and people-centered approaches as Programme Manager of the Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan’s flagship initiative, “Clean and Green Cities” project in twelve cities.
Prior to UN-Habitat, she has worked as a City Planner in the New York City Department of City Planning, where she gained hands-on experience in translating policy guidelines into zoning regulations for legislative enforcement of city-wide and neighbourhood-level initiatives. She has also worked with the World Bank’s Global Practices of Urban, Rural, Disaster Risk and Social Development, and Water Practice based in Washington DC. In this capacity, she worked on several multi-sectoral operational projects and analytical work encompassing regional economic development, urbanization, urban renewal and transformation, land and housing, and governance in South Asia.
