WHY Does RECYKAL EXIST?
India’s waste ecosystem is broken because every stakeholder works in silos. Citizens rarely segregate, governments lack infrastructure, the informal sector does the heavy lifting without recognition, recyclers struggle with poor-quality feedstock, and brands often treat EPR as paperwork. With no alignment, value is lost, workers are marginalised, and landfills keep rising.

Our Story
Our Story
Recykal began not in a boardroom, but at landfills and waste yards that revealed the true scale of India’s waste crisis. For two years, the founding team immersed themselves in this reality, a journey they often call their “MBA in Waste Management”. Landfills became classrooms, waste generators the teachers, and every stakeholder in the chain, from rag pickers to recyclers, shaped their understanding.

What they discovered was a fragmented system. Citizens, governments, brands, recyclers, and the informal sector all worked in silos, with little visibility, low accountability, and massive value lost along the way. The insight was clear: technology could bridge these gaps and bring every player onto one platform.

The Story Behind Our Logo
The Story Behind Our Logo
The idea behind this is that a boomerang is the first man-made thing that shows circularity in its true sense. Each boomerang in our logo depicts whatever goes around as waste, needs to come around by getting recycled or reused to help close the loop.
